A long day of packing

Saturday, July 16, Sally and I created 16 one-gallon zip-lock bags, one for each day of the first two weeks of the hike, Cal-Ore border to Elk Lake near Mt. Bachelor. After trips to four stores and spending $200, we funneled about 2 lbs. of food — roughly the max you can afford to carry on your back if you want to keep your pack weight under 30 lbs., which is my goal.
